Dating to 1953, the Hamilton "Carl" was one of Hamilton's higher-end models. The 10k gold filled case (24mm excluding the crown) is in very fine condition, with very little age wear. The case is notably larger than most contemporary models and those lugs are impossible to ignore. The dial is made of sterling silver, it's in very fine condition with solid 18k gold applied indices. The mirror-polished alpha-styled hands are perfectly preserved beneath the hand-polished crystal. The crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets easily. The signed caseback has light age wear and it snaps firmly to the case.
Inside, the 19 jewel US-made calibre 753 movement is in immaculate condition. There are numerous case marks on the interior, indicating the watch has been serviced regularly over the years. It keeps time accurately and looks incredible while doing so!
The Hamilton comes with brand new 16mm oilskin leather bands in a rich mocha hue that compliments the yellow gold case quite nicely.
