Chunky: that's the only word that can accurately describe this Gruen! The polished case is in very good condition, with very light age wear. Those thick, elongated lugs are very unique, I don't think I've ever seen anything like them before. The dial is in good shape, the Gruen signature is slightly faded though it's still perfectly legible. The elegant Alpha hands are a lovely reflective gold, matching the case hue perfectly.
Inside, the in-house 422RSS movement has a high amplitude, keeping time with great accuracy. The watch comes on new brown leather straps that will accommodate a variety of wrist sizes. This absolute chonker of a Gruen has a wrist presence that is impossible to ignore.
