A handsome early 1950's Elgin Shockmaster wristwatch, featuring a 17 jewel self-winding movement. The movement has been inspected, serviced, and timegrapher regulated to ensure accuracy.
Here's an eye-catching early Fifties American watch for you! The 10k gold filled case is in very good condition, with light to average age wear and no visible brassing. The champagne dial is in excellent condition, with gold applique numerals and gold dome indices. A brand new crystal was installed during the overhaul, placing that gorgeous dial on full display and keeping it safe as well.
The caseback snaps in tightly, as it should. Inside, the movement is clean, properly lubricated and keeps accurate time. The watch comes on 16mm padded and stitched leather bands in a light mocha hue that accents the case quite nicely. Overall, this is a beautifully preserved example of early-Fifties American style. It would look great peeking out from beneath a cuff or on full display at the bar.
