This is one sharp Wittnauer! The polished stainless steel case is in excellent condition for its age, with light age wear. The black Wittnauer signature, blue steel hands, and indices are all easily legible from a distance. A brand new crystal was installed during the overhaul, placing that silvertone dial on full display. The crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets easily.
The screw down caseback is in fine condition. Inside, the 17 jewel movement is clean, properly lubricated and keeps time with great accuracy. A new mainspring was installed during the service, giving the watch a healthy amplitude. The watch comes on new padded and stitched oilskin leather bands with a matching silvertone buckle. Overall, this early-Fifties Wittnauer would make a fine daily wearer!
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day and tracking information is always included.
