This Wittnauer is a well-preserved example of the mid-Fifties field watch. The polished stainless steel case is in excellent condition for its age, with sturdy drilled lugs that make strap changes a snap. The black Wittnauer signature and all indices are easily legible from a distance. The blue steel alpha hands deserve a paragraph of their own! Not one speck of lume is missing and the hands brilliantly reflect sunlight.
The crystal is clean, clear, and scratch-free, placing that dial on full display. The crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets easily. The screw down caseback is in fine condition. Inside, the 17 jewel movement is clean and keeps time with great accuracy. The watch comes on new padded and stitched leather bands with a matching silvertone buckle. Overall, this early-Fifties Wittnauer would make a fine daily wearer!
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day and tracking information is always included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchase and I'll reply promptly. Thank you for looking and have a great day!
