The nickle plated brass case has notable wear and brassing, as you might expect of an 80 year old field watch. It should be noted that watch cases of this era were smaller than modern-day watches and this one would make a great ladies camping watch. The dial is a rich ebon hue with the Buren signature and surrounding minute track in pale cream. Not one speck of lume is missing from the silver-lined hands. The caseback is in good condition and it screws tightly down to form a seal. The crown has plenty of grip and it winds and sets well.
Inside, a dust cap protects the robust calibre 461 movement and all components are in excellent condition. Clean and properly lubricated, it keeps time quite accurately. The Buren comes with black leather straps that look great against the black dial. This watch has a character that was 80 years in the making, surviving adventure after adventure, and now it's ready for whatever comes next!
Please note that all mechanical watches, including automatics, require occasional winding in order to function properly. The watch will be well packaged and shipped out within one business day via USPS Ground Advantage and tracking information is included. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchase and I'll respond promptly. Thank you for looking and have a great day.
