One of the most popular World War II era models, this 1944 Bulova Bruce is in very good shape for its age! The polished, gold plated case has light age wear and a bit of brassing primarily around the lugs. The intricate scrollwork surrounding the bezel is in excellent condition. The pale champagne-hued dial is has a faint eggshell patina with alternating Arabic numerals and raised gold dot indices. The stainless steel caseback has light age wear and it snaps firmly to the case.
The crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets effortlessly. The workhorse 10BC movement has clearly been looked after over the decades. A brand new mainspring was installed during the overhaul, giving the watch a healthy amplitude of 300°. Regulated in positions, this Bulova Bruce is exceedingly accurate, as you'd expect. The watch comes on new lizard grain leather bands with a matching buckle.
