This Hamilton "Lester" has been very well cared for over the decades. The 14k gold filled case is in very good condition, with light to average age wear. The pale silver dial is in mint condition, perfectly preserved beneath the hand-polished crystal. The gold alpha style hands look great and the solid 18k gold applied indices sparkle in the sun. I really can't overstate how pristine this dial is, the photos can't do it justice. The crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets easily. There is one visible scuff to the caseback but it's not visible while worn.
Inside, the 19 jewel calibre 982 movement is in immaculate condition. It's as accurate as it is stylish, to say the least. The "Lester" comes on vintage Italian-made crocodile leather straps by Hadley Roma. They're incredible soft and supple and accent the case quite nicely. Overall, this handsome and uncommon Hamilton "Lester" makes an outstanding conversation starter.
