Dating to 1940, this Coral Ross is incredibly well preserved! The 14k coral gold filled case (23.4mm excluding the crown) is in very fine condition, with very little age wear. The pale salmon-hued dial is in mint condition, with solid 18k gold applied indices. The mirror-polished alpha-styled hands are perfectly preserved beneath the hand-polished crystal. I really can't overstate how pristine this dial is, the photos can't do it justice. The crown has plenty of grip and the watch winds and sets easily. The matching caseback has light age wear and it snaps firmly to the case.
Inside, the 19 jewel US-made calibre 982 movement is in immaculate condition. My jaw dropped when I saw the number of case marks on the interior, it indicates this watch has been serviced very regularly over the years. With a healthy amplitude and very low beat error. It's a highly accurate and durable watch, to say the least.
The Hamilton comes with brand new 16mm oilskin leather bands in a rich mocha hue that compliments the coral gold case quite nicely.
